            <p>North Daviess Spanish students have kicked off the year learning about the Spanish language and culture while using their <i>Bitmoji</i>s.&nbsp; Students switched their phone's language to Spanish and created their Bitmojis with Spanish expressions.&nbsp; It has been a fun way to start the new year.&nbsp; Students are getting familiar with a second language and personalizing their experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Many students are active users of <i>SnapChat</i> that utilizes <i>Bitmoji</i>s that reflect their likeness and personality.&nbsp; Meeting the students' interests and tying it to language learning and cultural understanding has had a positive response from the students, parents, and staff.&nbsp; Students placed their <i>Bitmoji</i>s in Salvador Dalí's work of art, "<i>The Persistence of Memory.</i>"&nbsp; While learning about the surrealist Spanish painter and the symbolism of the <b>melting clocks</b>, students put their own spin on the his painting.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>To learn more about the Dalí's painting, <a href="http://https://www.spanish-art.org/spanish-painting-la-persistencia-de-la-memoria.html" target="_blank">click here</a>.</p>

            <p>Spanish students have created their own version of Salvador Dalí's, "<i>The Persistence of Memory</i>."&nbsp; This school year is certainly going to be a memorable one for the students and their teacher as they build a great sense of community in a fun, educational way.&nbsp;</p><p>~Sra.
